Drama Editorial Review
The 2015 version of Macbeth on Blu-ray has mixed reviews among customers. While some appreciate the adherence to Shakespearean lines and riveting performances, others found it dull and full of alterations to the play. The Scottish highlands were well-represented, but the accents and low, monotonous tones made it difficult to follow and lacking in intensity. However, the incredible cast and overwhelmingly positive reviews by film critics might suggest it's a film worthy of adding to a collection. The authenticity of the movie's mysticism was stripped from the famous opening with the three witches, leaving it feeling stiff and hackneyed, according to another customer. Another claimed that it was one of the best adaptations of Macbeth they've seen. However, a few customers had unfortunate experiences with the received product.
