Estes Rocket Accessories Editorial Review
The #2246 Estes Model Rocket Altimeter is a small device weighing 1/2 oz and measuring over 5/8 inches in diameter. It can record peak altitude, stored for later review, and runs on a 6V 11A alkaline battery. However, its data is limited to an apogee reading per flight and is not waterproof. Additionally, it will not fit inside an Estes Viking rocket. Users who attempted to use the altimeter for a range of experiments found varying levels of success with some reporting accurate readings while others report it did not work correctly or Consistently. Despite this, many found the altimeter to be great and at a good price point.
