The Accord ABCDWH08 Round Ceiling Diffuser is an 8-inch white diffuser that is perfect for both residential and industrial use. The butterfly damper comes complete with a key, but the damper mechanism can also be operated by a plastic handle. The diffuser has three screw holes along the outside and is not designed to be installed with a screw in the middle hole. The mounting holes of the 8-inch diffuser are not compatible with a 6-inch damper. Customer experience and reception: - The product page says it measures 11 and 15/16 inch, but some customers say it measures 10.5 inches for outside diameter instead of 12 inches. - The diffuser is easy to install and is perfect and sturdy for some customers who would re-order more. - It has a cranking mechanism that sticks out past flush, making it impossible to put any decorative cover over the unsightly dampener, which is a pain to install and difficult to work for some customers. - The diffuser is not the most attractive cover, and once installed, one can see right into the vent, thus making it advisable to have clean supply lines.
