However, it is not recommended to use it for blending butter into hot coffee or with hot ingredients, as it is designed for cold blending. It is possible to blend raw carrots, celery, and beets, but it is best to cut them up and add a lot of liquid to the container. The blender is also powerful enough to chop nuts, but the suction cups that hold the unit in place while making smoothies may not be effective, causing it to travel on the counter. There are some concerns about the use of Tritan, which may leach endocrine-disrupting estrogenic compounds; however, this can be resolved by contacting the company to inquire about a compatible glass jar. Overall, the Vitamix ONE is an excellent blender for cold blending and can handle a variety of foods with ease.
