Lisle 81200 Plastic Chisel Scraper Set

The Lisle 81200 Plastic Chisel Scraper Set has garnered a mixed reception from users, with a majority praising its durability and versatility, while some have encountered specific challenges related to their design and performance under heavy use. One of the standout features of this tool set is its durability, particularly when compared to lower-quality alternatives. Users have shared numerous applications where these chisels excel, including removing stickers from vehicle license plates, scraping old caulking, and even working on delicate materials without scratching surfaces. Many have pointed out that the chisels perform well when used correctly and can effectively replace traditional putty knives or razor blades in various tasks. However, there's a common critique regarding the chisels' design, specifically the round neck, which causes them to roll off surfaces easily. A user found a simple fix by creating flats on the neck, transforming a minor inconvenience into a customized improvement. There are also reports of varying durability among the different sizes, with the small chisel losing its edge faster than others during high-intensity projects. Nonetheless, users appreciate that the chisels can be sharpened for prolonged use, although some suggest that more detailed sharpening instructions would be beneficial. Overall, the Lisle 81200 Chisel Scraper Set is well-received among those in need of reliable and versatile disengagement tools, particularly for automotive and DIY applications. The performance during less intense tasks and the ability to retool them contribute to their positive reputation, making them a strong choice despite some design flaws. **
