Avid Brake Pads BR1425 Editorial Review
The SRAM Disc Brake Pads, crafted from a sintered compound and steel backed for enhanced durability, have garnered a generally positive reception from mountain biking enthusiasts. Users notably appreciate the increased stopping power and longevity compared to organic alternatives. Many riders have transitioned to these sintered pads after experiencing dissatisfaction with other brands like Jagwire, citing the latter's lesser bite and excessive noise. A common theme among reviewers is the initial noise produced when the pads are cold. However, this issue tends to dissipate once the brakes warm up, with many Considering this a minor trade-off for the performance gains achieved. Users, particularly those who engage in downhill biking, have reported that after the proper bed-in process, the SRAM pads deliver impressive braking precision that inspires confidence on steep descents. While some users express appreciation for the pads' performance, there are concerns regarding noise, especially when cold. Nonetheless, the overwhelming sentiment leans towards favoring these pads for their capability to improve bike braking and overall riding experience. ###
