PQube Games 226959 Editorial Review
Inertial Drift for PS4 offers a unique and visually stunning racing experience. The graphics are top-notch, with vibrant colors that really pop onscreen. The soundtrack is also impressive, adding to the overall immersive experience. The gameplay is interesting and fun once you get the hang of it. However, there are some frustrating elements, such as the scripted rubber band system in the challenge series. In races against the Initial D Toyota-like car, you start off in the lead but quickly get overtaken, making it difficult to catch up. This can be a source of annoyance for players. With practice and trial and error, it is possible to overcome these challenges, but it may deter some players. The game also features a story element, with hipster characters pushing each other to become the best drifters. However, the story may not appeal to everyone, especially those who find it typical of indie games. Overall, Inertial Drift is a decent game, but it may not be worth the price tag for some. It offers a short but enjoyable gameplay experience, with the main replayability lying in trying to achieve the fastest times through ghost races. Unfortunately, the online mode lacks activity, which is a disappointment for those who were hoping to race against others. It would have been beneficial if the game had crossplay functionality. Nevertheless, if you're a fan of arcade racers, it's still worth giving Inertial Drift a try.
