It can strain raspberry seeds, but compressing the puree against the mesh is the challenge. It is not for making absolutely transparent broth or straining tea made from powdered turmeric. While it is not able to strain a lot of almond milk at one time, it is perfect for small quantities. The strainer has a diameter of about 6 inches, and it is about 5 inches deep at the center of the cone. The mesh is very fine, and catches all but the finest particles. The strainer fits perfectly into a canning funnel, making it ideal for straining something into a canning jar.
