The SUUNTO MB-6 Global Compass is a durable and reliable non-battery or recharging compass suited for even the most remote areas. The steel mirror is polished and drops down making it easy to use the inclinometer and for sighting a bearing. The Construct of the compass is solid; the drawer opens and snaps firmly in place; and the compass bezel turns with the right amount of firmness. However, some users have reported issues with the Construction quality, where in some cases, the needle was not made of high-grade steel but cheap plastic with some magnetic material, and the bearing was not jewel-encrusted as advertised on the Suunto website. A few reviewers also claimed that the metal mirror is fiddly, and at times, it gets stuck. Lastly, it was pointed out that although it is a global compass, it does not cover all zones.
