The drill bit supplied with the anchors is not efficient, and customers may need to purchase additional good-quality carbide masonry bits to pilot and drill holes, widen them, and make space for the anchor bolts to fit. Care must be taken when handling the anchor bolts during installation, as they can fall apart if treated roughly. It may be difficult to align the holes in the mounting plate with the drilled holes, but just two bolts are enough to secure the system well. Overall, the Kryptonite Evolution Ground Anchor is a solid product, but customers should be prepared for an epic installation process.
