The hutch is easy to attach and can be added to either side. However, there is a vertical support along the back that makes it difficult for someone to sit across from the user. The desk is adequate for small spaces. Assembly can be challenging as some of the holes may not be properly aligned. Some buyers have complained about the fragility of the desk and the hutch. The desk can hold items that are not too heavy.
