Ultimate Collection

The editorial review of the Chiffons "Ultimate Collection" CD presents a mixed bag of customer experiences centered around the group's legendary status and the quality of the reissue. Fans of the Chiffons appreciate that this collection features a comprehensive gathering of the group's charting singles, along with some lesser-known tracks. The acknowledgment that the Chiffons played a significant role in the girl-group sound of the 1960s, particularly with their hit "He's So Fine," adds to the nostalgic value of this compilation. However, customer feedback highlights concerns about the sound quality of the recordings. While many listeners were excited to relive the classics, some described the audio experience as tinny and unpleasant when played at higher volumes, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the collection. Additionally, there are some discrepancies in the track listing that have caused confusion, further impacting the reception of this product. Despite its flaws, the "Ultimate Collection" remains a valuable offering for die-hard fans of the Chiffons and those seeking to explore the group's contributions to pop music. Yet potential buyers should be aware of the noted audio quality issues that could affect their listening experience. **
