Horror Editorial Review
Pontypool is a unique zombie film that takes a different approach to the genre. It follows the story of a radio DJ named Grant Mazzy, who begins to receive reports of strange events happening in his small Canadian town. The film takes place mostly in the radio station, which adds to the sense of claustrophobia and tension. The film's slow-burn approach may frustrate some viewers, but it pays off in a satisfying way in the second half. The performances of the three leads are excellent, especially Stephen McHattie as Grant Mazzy. The film's concept is clever, and it provides an interesting commentary on language and communication.
