Horror Editorial Review
Post Mortem 2020 is a Hungarian horror film that manages to get all the right elements together for an original storyline that harkens back to the classics on some level in terms of atmosphere and dark elements. The special effects aren't overdone and seem to be kind of DIY, but they work. There are some scenes that are downright disturbing but it's fortunately not one of those movies with cheap jump scares. If you like dark villages, torches, shadow people, witchcraft, demonology, etc you'll like this. Some criticism has been levelled at the poor realism, but this is after all a horror movie, not a documentary. It is atmospheric and genuinely creepy throughout. Overall, if you like atmospheric horror that just makes the hair stand up, this is for you.
