Predestination is a mind-bending film adaptation based on a story by Heinlein. Despite being too complex and sexy for little kids, the movie presents an unusual premise with a nice twist at the end. While some special effects and light action are incorporated, the story remains the highlight, well-acted by the lead actors. The audience needs to take some added efforts to understand the complicated time-travel timeline of the plot but everything comes together seamlessly in a coherent and understandable form. The movie is recommended to viewers who like time travel plots, tales told in a non-linear style, working out obscure details for yourself, and having their brains bent. However, the slow pace, obscure details and unexpected ending may not appeal to everyone.
