"The Spectacular Now" follows the story of Sutter Keely, a teenage alcoholic who struggles to face reality. The book is narrated by Sutter and is filled with crude humor and outrageous behavior, yet it has a certain charisma that makes you love him despite his character flaws. The book has serious elements and a critical ending that the reviewer loved. However, some readers were disappointed with the ending and found the characters underdeveloped and too codependent. The quality of the paper and cover also received negative feedback. In general, some readers didn't finish the book as they did not enjoy the writing style, while others found the story deep and meaningful.
