XCEL Water Booties & Socks Editorial Review
The XCEL Drylock Round Toe Boot 5mm receives high praise from seasoned users for its exceptional performance, particularly among those who engage in water sports such as kayaking, surfing, and sailing. A longtime kayaker shared their experience, highlighting how these boots offer a snug, sock-like fit that eliminates issues often associated with loose material, which can hinder movements in watercraft or while standing up on surfboards. The fully integrated, robust sole Construction stands out as a significant improvement over previous models, assuring users that they won't face the common problem of soles peeling off over time. Despite some challenges with sizing, many customers have found the fit to be worth the patience it requires to get the boots on and off. Most suggest ordering a size up for the best experience. Additionally, the effective sealing at the calf has been noted positively, especially for maintaining warmth and dryness in cooler months. However, a few users have expressed frustration regarding sizing discrepancies, particularly when transitioning between men’s sizes, which led to water leakage after wearing them. The overall sentiment indicates that the XCEL Drylock Round Toe Boot is a solid investment for anyone serious about water sports, promising durability and superior comfort in challenging conditions. **
