Built To Spill Format: Audio CD Rock Editorial Review
**** "Perfect From Now On" by Built to Spill stands as a towering achievement in the world of alternative rock, melding profound lyricism with exceptional musicality. Released in 1997, this album Consists of eight lengthy tracks that stretch between five to nine minutes, each showcasing a rich tapestry of sound characterized by wailing guitars, complex bass lines, and intricate rhythms. Many listeners describe the experience of this album as breathtaking, often articulating a sense of connection to the themes explored within the songs. Fans have praised the album for its dual capacity to resonate emotionally while also offering a sonically adventurous journey. Each song delivers a unique experience, inviting listeners to dive deep into not only the sound but the profound messages embedded within the lyrics about human existence. This album has been compared to classics by Pink Floyd, Radiohead, and The Beatles, highlighting its impact and importance in the alternative rock genre. The musicianship displayed here is top-notch, with Doug Martsch's matured vocals driving the lyrical content to new heights. Many reviewers laud the cohesiveness of the band as they navigate through this expansive musical landscape. The sonic rawness and emotional depth see "Perfect From Now On" being recognized as a modern classic—a must-have for any serious music aficionado. While the songs in this collection demand attention due to their duration and complexity, they are celebrated for drawing listeners in with their depth and artistry rather than overwhelming them. Built to Spill has cultivated a sound that remains refreshing and sincere, making this album an enduring favorite that continues to earn admiration years after its release. **Pros and Cons:** **
