Nutritionist's Take
Herb Pharm Certified Organic Comfrey Liquid Extract is derived from the comfrey plant, traditionally used for its potential healing properties. Nutritionists value its high levels of allantoin, which may promote skin repair and reduce inflammation. However, despite these benefits, caution is advised due to comfrey's known toxicity when ingested or applied excessively, particularly its potential to cause liver damage. The product is organic and comes from reputable sources, ensuring quality and absence of harmful pesticides. Nutritionists generally recommend using comfrey topically rather than orally to avoid these risks. While it can be beneficial for specific conditions such as bruises or sprains, individuals with liver concerns, pregnant women, or those on certain medications should avoid it. Overall, while it has potential health benefits, consumers should approach comfrey extract with caution and preferably under guidance.
Herb Pharm Echinacea DCOMF0 Editorial Review
The Herb Pharm Certified Organic Comfrey Liquid Extract has received mixed reviews from customers. Some users have found it effective for healing bones and treating conditions like a cracked rib, while others have had concerns about the smell and packaging mix-ups. It is important to note that the product is a tincture in an organic cane alcohol base and is typically used topically. However, there have been instances of customers receiving incorrect products or experiencing confusion with descriptions. It is recommended to verify the product received matches the order to avoid any discrepancies. Overall, the Herb Pharm Certified Organic Comfrey Liquid Extract appears to have benefits for some users in terms of healing properties, but there have been issues reported with packaging and descriptions. **
