Action & Adventure Editorial Review
While some viewers may have their reservations about the movie's content in today's culture, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial still stands as a beloved classic 30 years later. The movie successfully captures the innocence and wonder of childhood, as well as the bond between a child and an alien. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the movie features strong performances by the child actors, in particular Henry Thomas as Elliott and Drew Barrymore as his younger sister Gertie. The iconic flying bicycle scene remains a standout moment in cinema history. Overall, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial remains a timeless movie that weaves together heart, humor, and sentimentality in the perfect package.
