Humble Games Games 812303017292 Editorial Review
**Editorial Review of Dodgeball Academia** Dodgeball Academia is a vibrant and engaging title that has successfully captured the spirit of shounen anime and sports games. Set in a colorful world where players step into the shoes of a rookie dodgeball player at an academy, the game combines a quirky narrative with fast-paced action, making it a delightful experience for both casual gamers and enthusiasts. Players embark on a journey through eight chapters filled with tournaments, quirky side quests, and even elements of mystery, such as robot invasions. The writing shines with witty dialogue and cultural references that are sure to resonate with gamers. From nods to Pokémon and Sonic to Street Fighter, every interaction is infused with humor, adding an extra layer of enjoyment. The gameplay is a refreshing departure from traditional turn-based mechanics, opting for real-time action that keeps players on their toes. Each match lasts around 2-3 minutes, which facilitates a lively pace and minimizes any frustration with re-tries, maintaining player engagement throughout the campaign's potential 10-12 hour duration. The RPG elements enhance strategy, as players can boost their characters' stats and unlock new abilities—ensuring that each dodgeball game feels dynamic. Players can also enjoy local multiplayer matches with friends, reinforcing the community aspect of gaming. While some may find the gameplay repetitive over time, the captivating story and charismatic characters ultimately redeem any redundancies. The Switch version enhances accessibility, making it an ideal choice for gaming on the go. Overall, Dodgeball Academia is highly commendable for its animation, character design, intelligent humor, and innovative dodgeball mechanics. **
