CHEETAHSTAND Booms & Stands CHEETAHSTAND c10 Editorial Review

The CheetahStand C10 Lightstand has received mostly positive feedback from customers. Many reviewers have praised its speed and reliability, stating that it is a game changer when working with assistants who need to quickly grab and go. The self-opening and closing feature has also been highlighted as a major advantage, making it easier to set up and move the stand through crowded areas. Reviewers love that the C10 Lightstand is lighter than other stands, reducing the need for multiple trips to the car during setup and teardown. While some reviewers did mention that the C10 Lightstand is not as sturdy as other stands they have used, they believe that the lighter weight makes it more suitable for off-camera flash photography. However, one reviewer did express disappointment in the overall durability, stating that it felt flimsy and was unsure if they could trust it to hold their light/softbox when extended. Another common complaint was the noise it generates when opening and closing, which some reviewers found distracting during intimate moments, such as wedding receptions. In comparison to the Manfrotto 5001B Nano stand, the CheetahStand C10 Lightstand has some key advantages. It opens and closes quickly with one hand and is very sturdy, earning numerous recommendations from fellow buyers and photographers. Additionally, it can extend up to 10' tall, making it suitable for perimeter lighting. However, the CheetahStand C10 is heavier than the Manfrotto stand and is noisier when in use. Overall, the CheetahStand C10 Lightstand is a reliable and efficient option for photographers, especially those in need of quick setup and tear-down and versatile height options. However, its durability and noise levels may be a concern for some users.
