Ruby Reef Aquarium Water Treatments 12522 Editorial Review
After using Kick-Ich and Rally for ich treatment in a 120-gallon aquarium, the experience was generally positive, albeit with some challenges. The initial setup was promising, with active and acclimating fish. However, an outbreak of ich led to prompt action taken with both treatments. Within 24 hours, while one fish showed signs of improvement, the treatment's interactions were closely monitored due to varying responses among the fish. Over the course of the treatment period, the user observed significant positive changes in most fish, noting a marked reduction in ich and improvements in overall health. However, the flame angel struggled with persistent health issues, resulting in mixed results despite continued treatment. The user also learned through experience that timing and the light cycle could influence the efficacy of the treatment, deciding to dose just after the lights went out to maximize results. The experience highlighted the importance of monitoring the health of individual fish, as differences in immune system responses were evident among tank mates. Although the treatment proved effective overall, care was taken to observe the behaviors and conditions of each fish closely. In summary, while there were ups and downs—particularly regarding the flame angel—the combination of Kick-Ich and Rally ultimately provided an effective means of managing the ich outbreak, indicating a sound choice for reef tank enthusiasts needing to treat disease without resorting to harsher copper solutions. **
