Glenn Hughes (Artist) Format: Audio CD Rock FRCD1508 Editorial Review
**** "Chosen," the latest release from legendary rock artist Glenn Hughes, has garnered an enthusiastic response from fans and critics alike, solidifying his place as the "Voice of Rock." With a remarkable career spanning decades, Hughes continues to impress with his distinctive vocal style and musical versatility. Reviewers note that while some riffs may feel recycled and themes familiar, Hughes’s signature sound shines through, making "Chosen" a must-have for any ardent follower of his work. Many fans have expressed admiration for the album's production quality and the seamless blending of genres, highlighting the soulful bluesy influences alongside elements reminiscent of Audioslave and Rage Against the Machine. This unique combination adds an unexpected layer to the record, keeping listeners engaged throughout. Despite some criticisms that the album doesn't break new ground or offer surprise elements, it has been described as a solid and enjoyable rock experience, reflecting Hughes's enduring talent and passion for music. Hughes's impressive vocal performance, even at his age, has been a point of admiration, with many claiming that he sounds as good—if not better—than ever before. The contributions of his band further elevate the album, bringing depth and class to the overall sound. Ultimately, "Chosen" stands out as both a celebration of Hughes’s storied career and a testament to his continuous evolution as an artist. **
