ACCEL 59125 Distributor - Performance Replacement Opti-Spark II

The reception of the Accel Opti Spark for Pontiac Trans Am has been a mixed bag among customers, revealing a spectrum of experiences with the product. Several customers report issues that point towards reliability concerns. One user highlighted a dramatic failure when their car died unexpectedly, attributing the problem directly to the Opti Spark, which only lasted about eight months. This user expressed disappointment, especially when comparing it to their original equipment (OE) part which functioned flawlessly for 17 years. Another customer echoed similar frustrations, noting the Opti Spark showed a crank position sensor fault with no help from customer service, leading to a feeling of disregard for the time and effort spent on installation. On the more positive side, some users noted significant performance improvements post-installation. One customer, after replacing their Opti Spark, found their vehicle running better and exhibiting enhanced acceleration capabilities. However, they did face installation challenges, requiring lubrication to fit the component securely. Quality control seems to be a concern, as indicated by reports of cracked components upon delivery, leading some to question the condition of their purchases. This has fostered a cautious attitude toward sourcing from vendors, particularly concerning less reliable aftermarket options. Overall, while the Accel Opti Spark may offer performance boosts for some, the potential for premature failure and inConsistent quality cannot be ignored. Prospective buyers should weigh these factors carefully when Considering this product. **
