What is the duration of the timer?

The Westminster Magnetic Sand Timer typically runs for a duration of several minutes, depending on its design specifications. This time frame makes it ideal for various practical applications, such as timing short activities like cooking, studying, or even as a focus tool during meditation sessions. Its visually appealing flow of sand can also encourage mindful breaks, promoting relaxation and concentration for users.

Is the Westminster Magnetic Sand Timer suitable for children?

Yes, the Westminster Magnetic Sand Timer is generally safe for children. However, parental supervision is advised, especially with younger kids, as the glass components can be fragile. Funtime Gifts Timers Editorial Review

The Magnetic Sand Hourglass Timer by Office Playground is a beautiful but delicate piece. The glass is very thin and can easily break, making it not suitable for children or heavy usage. However, it is an excellent teaching tool and can be used in therapy due to its calming effects. The timer lasts approximately two minutes instead of the advertised 35 seconds, and the base appears to be made of painted steel with a bronze finish. The magnetic sand is not suitable for making ferrofluid.
