Action & Adventure Editorial Review
The Watchmen (Ultimate Cut) is a visually impressive movie that is loved by some and disliked by others. The additional scenes in the 4K Ultimate Cut are seen as unnecessary and take away from the overall experience. The soundtrack is criticized for being too on the nose. However, the film is praised for its cinematic direction, editing, and relevance of its 30-year-old plot. The choreography throughout the film is also highly appreciated. The director's cut is highly recommended, while the theatrical version is not. Overall, opinions on the movie are mixed.
