Pocket Book Books in foreign languages Editorial Review
Limonov is an intricate biography that delves into the life of a complex man, intertwining personal insights from Carrère with the tumultuous history of Russia. The book not only captures the essence of its titular character but also paints a vivid picture of European events through his lens, highlighting his audacity and controversial presence. Readers have noted the engaging narrative style and the depth of historical context, though some feel it could benefit from a deeper exploration of Russian popular literature's roots. Overall, it's a thought-provoking read that prompts reflection on identity and culture in a historical context.
