MKS Pedals MK585COM Editorial Review
**Editorial Review of MKS Compact Pedals** The MKS Compact Pedals have garnered a mix of appreciation and some reservations among users, primarily focusing on performance and comfort. Many customers praise the lightweight nature of these pedals, branding them as stylish and compact, which aligns impeccably with modern road bikes. The inclusion of shielded bearings appears to enhance the pedaling experience, providing a smooth output that users noted was significantly better than the stock pedals they replaced. One standout quality is the ease of installation, with several reviewers mentioning that a simple 8mm Allen wrench and some bicycle grease are all that's needed, making it user-friendly for those who prefer DIY tasks. Furthermore, the durability and precision associated with the MKS brand have not gone unnoticed, with long-time users affirming their confidence in the product. However, despite the accolades, some concerns arise about the pedal's size. Users with larger feet have reported difficulty in comfortably using the pedals, due to their narrower width compared to wider shoe sizes. This has led to suggestions for potential buyers to Consider their foot size prior to purchase. Moreover, while many anticipated a high spinning performance typical of MKS products, they found these specific pedals to be less responsive in that regard, making them less appealing for those prioritizing high-rotation efficiency. For casual riders or those using lightweight footwear, however, the pedals still deliver a satisfactory experience. Overall, the MKS Compact Pedals are highly recommended for those seeking a stylish and functional upgrade from conventional pedals, provided they align with the user's foot size and expectations regarding spinning performance. **
