Format: DVD WD12142300DVD Editorial Review
**** "Planes: Fire & Rescue" has garnered a positive reception from audiences, appealing to both children and adults alike. Reviewers commend the film for its meaningful storyline that transcends typical children's content. The movie follows Dusty, who transitions from a racing background to becoming part of an aerial firefighting squad, highlighting themes of bravery and community service that resonate strongly with viewers. Its mature presentation and engaging plot have been noted to enhance its appeal for adults, especially compared to its predecessor. Visually, the film is praised for its remarkable CGI that heightens the intensity of the firefighting scenes, depicting realistic aircraft maneuvering amidst perilous wildfires. The film introduces a variety of unique aircraft, adding depth and a touch of humor that aviation enthusiasts will appreciate. Many viewers find that this installment is more detailed and compelling than the first "Planes" movie, which some felt was lacking. Additionally, the film is recognized as an entertaining choice for long trips, particularly for families. The soundtrack complements the action well, adding to the overall enjoyment, making it an excellent option for family viewing. While there are some critiques about the dominance of firefighter themes over racing elements, the overarching positive sentiment showcases the film's quality and entertainment value, particularly for fans of the aviation genre. **
