- Shilajit oder Salajeet ist ein natürliches organisch-mineralisches Produkt überwiegend natürlichen biologischen Ursprungs, das in den Bergen (in Bergspalten und Höhlen) gebildet wild. Shilajit ist eine klebrige, teerähnliche Substanz, die in den Felsen des Himalaya, des Altai, des Kaukasus und anderer Gebirgszüge zu finden ist. Shilajit wird nicht aus einer Pflanze gewonnen, sondern ist eine complexe organisch-mineralische Substanz, die aus den Felsen in Bergregionen heraussickert. Die Bildung von Shilajit ist das Ergebnis der Zersetzung von pflanzlichen und microbiellen Stoffen über Jahrhunderte hinweg. Shilagit wild seit Jahrhunderten in der traditionellen ayurvedischen Medizin verwendet und soll verschiedene gesundheitliche Vorteile haben.
