What lead thickness do these pencils have?

These pencils come with sturdy 0.7 mm HB leads.

How many pencils are included in a pack?

Each pack contains 12 mechanical pencils.

Is the eraser replaceable?

Yes, the pencils come with a built-in white eraser and 3 refill leads.

Can you refill with new leads after the original ones are finished?

Yes, the erasers at the end are removable and there is a hollow tube to insert new lead.

Are these like papermate where you twist the head to get the lead or is it by pushing the top?

You push the top to advance the lead.

Is it just the clips which are assorted colours? I am looking for a black & translucent barrel as depicted on the box, not coloured ones.

Yes, only the clips are coloured. The barrels are black and translucent.

Which country are they made in?

The pack I have are made in France, but Bic is a large company that produces pencils worldwide.

Doesn't the pencil lead break easily?

Not really, as it only allows a little measure/length of the lead to come out each time you press the end. You can press it more than once to get more to come out, but be careful not to apply too much pressure as the lead might snap.

Anyone know how to make sure you get the barrel colour you wanted? We ordered a box and got all the other 4 colours but not the one we wanted.

I only ordered pencils, I don't know about the specific barrel colour selection.

I ordered in December, still haven’t received. How long does delivery usually take?

I received mine in a day, but delivery times may vary.

So you get 12 pencils? Are the colours shown distributed or are there others, e.g. yellow Bic?

There are 12 pencils in total, and the colour selection may vary. You may receive a random assortment of two or three colours and it's not possible to choose specific colours.

Can the leads be replaced with ones that are 0.35mm?

I don't think the leads can be replaced.

Is it 3 x 12 pencils or just 12 in this price?

There are 12 pencils in total. The '3 x HB' refers to having 3 sticks of lead in each pencil.

BIC Mechanical Pencils 820959 Editorial Review

The Bic Matic Original Mechanical Pencils offer a convenient and reliable option for both school and office use. With a pack of 12 pencils, this product is perfect for those who require multiple pencils for different tasks. The 0.7 mm black (HB) lead provides a smooth and Consistent writing experience. The lead is easily refillable, and each pencil comes with a spare lead inside. To refill, simply remove the eraser at the end of the pencil and insert a new lead into the hollow tube. The pencils have a push-top mechanism to advance the lead, which works very well according to users. This feature allows for precise control over the length of the lead and minimizes the chances of breakage. While the clips on the pencils come in assorted colors, the barrels are black and translucent, as depicted on the box. This ensures a professional and sleek appearance. The Bic Matic Original Mechanical Pencils are made in France, but it is likely that Bic produces them worldwide given the company's size and reach. Overall, customers have had positive experiences with these pencils. The leads do not easily break as long as the proper amount of pressure is applied. If the lead does break or needs to be retracted, it can easily be pushed back inside the pencil. One minor issue raised by a customer is that the desired barrel color may not always be guaranteed, as the seller only offers the option to order pencils without specifying color preferences. However, this did not seem to be a concern for most users. In terms of delivery, customers have reported receiving their orders promptly. Some even received their orders in just one day.
