Thetis Security Locks MB000345 Editorial Review
Thetis Fido U2F Security Key with Type C Adapter The Thetis Fido U2F Security Key offers an extra layer of protection with two-factor authentication for various online services like Gmail, Facebook, Dropbox, SalesForce, GitHub, and more. However, customer experiences and reviews suggest that the product has some limitations and compatibility issues. One user found it easy to set up with Google on a Windows machine via the web. However, they noted that the key is not compatible with Windows Hello or Windows login. Another user mentioned that it worked as a second factor for login on a Linux machine (Ubuntu) but had difficulties finding instructions and had to tinker with udev rules. Compatibility with different browsers is also a concern. The key works well with Chrome and Opera on iPadOS but is not supported by Safari or Firefox. Although there is a Firefox UDF add-in, it is not available for iPadOS. Despite its limitations, some users found the Thetis Fido U2F Security Key useful. One user commented that it was great for 1Password, PC, and Mac. They recommended making a list of the specific services it will be used for and doing proper research before purchasing. Overall, the Thetis Fido U2F Security Key is seen as a reasonably priced option with usefulness that varies depending on individual needs and compatibility requirements. It is important to Consider compatibility with browsers and operating systems, as well as the specific services it will be used with.
