SMALLRIG Stabilisers & Supports 4102-CF Editorial Review
The SMALLRIG Super Clamp with Ballhead is a versatile camera mount clamp that offers a secure and sturdy grip for various devices. The clamp is praised for its wide range of fit options and its ability to securely hold onto different surfaces. Users found the joints to be stiff and robust, preventing any drooping or wear. One customer mentioned using the clamp on the handlebars of a mobility scooter, noting that it was able to accommodate thick handlebars and provide a secure hold. The metal clamp jaws add to the overall security of the device. Another user expressed their intention to use the clamp for trackdays, specifically for mounting GoPros on a roll cage. They did mention that the rubber on the clamp felt slightly stiff, but they planned to add a strip of an old bike inner tire tube for better grip. While the mount is strong and suitable for a GoPro-sized camera, one customer cautioned against using it for larger cameras in a car. However, for static applications, it should be adequate for holding a full-sized camera. There was one negative review from a customer who felt that the adjustment for sideways rotation of the GoPro mount and the ballhead did not secure tightly enough. They expressed disappointment with the product and would not recommend it. Overall, customers were pleased with the SMALLRIG Super Clamp with Ballhead. Its versatility and secure grip were highlighted, along with its robust Construction and the ability to add additional accessories. The price was Considered reasonable by one reviewer, despite the initial perception of it being high.
